Silver Spring Man Charged In Connection To Fatal Hit-Run In Takoma Park
A 34-year-old hit-and-run driver who killed a man in Montgomery County last month has been arrested and charged, police say. Takoma Park resident Candido Noe Rojas Rojas, 42, was fatally struck shortly after 1:15 a.m. on June 3 in the 1100 block of University Boulevard. On Friday, authorities announced that Silver Spring resident Efrain Diaz Romero has been arrested after being identified as the driver. Officers found Rojas Rojas in the roadway suffering from head trauma on the night of the crash. He was rushed to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries. …

State Police Trooper Hospitalized After Crash With Suspected Impaired Driver In Maryland
A potentially intoxicated driver hospitalized a Maryland State Police trooper early on Monday morning after crashing through his cruiser while it was parked in a Montgomery County construction zone, officials say. Charges are pending against Washington, DC resident Anthony Bowser, 31, who injured a trooper inside a work zone area in the inner loop of I-495 near University Boulevard at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 22. Burglar Crashes Chick-fil-A Car Week After Arrest In Similar Maryland Crime Spree: Police
A teenage burglar out on bond continued his streak of crimes after stealing and crashing a delivery vehicle in Montgomery County, authorities say. Curtis Gipson, 18, was arrested after crashing a Chick-Fil-A deilvery vehicle that he stole shortly before 7:30 a.m., near the area of University Boulevard Wednesday, July 6. Gipson and the two other occupants of the stolen car tried to flee the scene before being apprehended and taken to a hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
