A Maryland man was killed after a Delaware driver ran a red light and slammed into his car Sunday night, with police now saying impairment may have played a role.
Chablaoui Khalid, 42, of Rising Sun, died at the scene following the crash in Cecil County, according to Maryland State Police.
The crash happened shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, at US Route 1 and Mount Street in Cecil County.

A Sunday afternoon crash in Maryland turned deadly when a Silver Spring woman was killed after her SUV overturned, authorities said.
Officers and fire rescue personnel responded to the area of Old Columbia Pike and Musgrove Road around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9, for a report of a single-vehicle crash involving a black Cadillac XT4, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police.
When crews arrived, they found the Cadillac flipped onto its roof with two people trapped inside.
