More than $222,000 worth of illegal cannabis and THC products were pulled from six tobacco and vape shops in Maryland after a five-month narcotics investigation. A Maryland middle school student was hospitalized after authorities said he took pills that may have been Benadryl in an attempt to "get high." The student at Matthew Henson Middle School in Indian Head went to the nurse complaining of chest pain after ingesting "Full Moon" pills on Friday, Feb. 24, the Charles County Sheriff's Office said. A 20-year-old Maryland man will spend decades behind bars after being sentenced for murder and possession by explosives, the Frederick County State’s Attorney announced. Frederick resident Joshua Eckenrode was sentenced to a life sentence with all but 40 years suspended after pleading guilty to his role in the March 2021 death of Curtis Mason Smith.
