Missing Maryland Man Found During Traffic Stop — Along With Drugs, Fake IDs, Sheriff Says
A missing person investigation in Maryland took an unexpected twist when a traffic stop in Owings led deputies to not only locate the missing man — but also uncover drugs, fake IDs, and two arrests.
According to the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description of one connected to a missing person case near E. Chesapeake Beach Road and Thomas Avenue.
When deputies approached the car, they found Albert Alipio Bantug, 50, of Temple Hills, behind the wheel. Bantug, investigators said, was confirmed to be the person reported missing.

A wanted man was busted with a stolen car and drugs in the Walmart parking lot in Dunkirk, according to the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office.
Brendan Anthony Morris, 25, of Upper Marlboro, was caught with cocaine, Suboxone, and a stolen vehicle during an investigation in Maryland, officials said.
A deputy was dispatched late last month to a southbound stretch of Southern Maryland Boulevard at Route 260 in Dunkirk for a report of a stolen car, according to a sheriff’s office report released Monday, Aug. 4.

Maryland Man Busted With Guns, Cocaine, Pills Released Days Later: Sheriff
A Maryland man caught with guns, cocaine, and hundreds of pills in a La Plata home was released just days after his arrest, according to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.
Bruce Robinson, 57, was taken into custody in late May after narcotics detectives served a search warrant at a home in the 7700 block of Weatherly Place, officials said on Thursday, June 19.
During the search, investigators recovered a "substantial amount of illegal drugs and multiple unregistered weapons," including:

Four Arrested Following Drug Trafficking Investigation in Carroll County: State's Attorney
An extensive investigation into drug dealing in Carroll County led to the apprehension of four wanted suspects who have been indicted by a grand jury, the state's attorney's office announced.
Last week, the county's Drug and Firearms Trafficking Task Force (DTF) and local police agencies executed three search warrants at local residences in Carroll and Baltimore counties, leading to the arrest of four suspects.
