Detention Center Evacuated Due To Gas Leak In MD; Inmates Returned To Custody Inmates and visitors at a Maryland detention center had to be evacuated on Sunday morning when there was a gas leak reported that lasted several hours. At approximately 9 a.m. on Sunday, May 21, visitors at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center made complaints about a. gas smell in the visitation area of the facility, prompting an evacuation of the area.
