A Virginia man went skiing in Lake Placid — and hours later was in emergency spinal surgery, fighting for his future.
Brennon Saunders, a lifelong resident of Reedville, was seriously injured on Friday, Feb. 6, during a skiing trip to New York, according to friends and loved ones.
Saunders was airlifted to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, where he had to undergo emergency spinal surgery to repair extensive damage.
Other injuries include a brain bleed, a fractured sternum, and lung trauma.
