Federal investigators are looking into more than 1.4 million Honda and Acura vehicles after reports that their engines could suddenly fail. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched an investigation into 1,410,806 Honda and Acura cars, SUVs, and minivans. A helmetless teen dirt bike rider was left critically injured after a hit-and-run crash with a minivan in Maryland, police said. The crash happened around 7:15 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3 on Crain Highway near Main Avenue SW, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department. A 19-year-old man who went on a short-lived crime spree in a carjacked minivan is in custody following a string of armed robberies in Montgomery County, police say. A 42-year-old Towson man is being sought by police after they say he shot his ex-girlfriend on Tuesday, Dec. 20 in Edgewood. Jamar Wise shot the 46-year-old victim in her upper body around 5:10 p.m. on the 2800 block of Majesty Lane, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said.
