A 34-year-old woman got an unexpected wakeup call from her neighbor on Saturday morning when she was stirred by the pounding on her door that alerted her to a fire inside her Harford county home. Shortly before 11:45 a.m, first responders from the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company and nearby agencies responded to the 2400 block of Woodlea Drive in Joppa, where there was a reported fire that was reported by a passerby. First responders in Harford County were busy on Monday morning, responding first to a triple-fatal fire in Aberdeen before being called to a row of townhouses in Belcamp that went up in flames, officials say. A 2-year-old toddler was killed and two others were sent to area hospitals in Maryland after a two-alarm blaze broke out in Washington County, according to the state fire marshal. One firefighter was killed and a second injured when a home collapsed during an early morning fire in St. Mary's County on Tuesday morning, officials say.
