A Maryland traffic stop turned into a major bust after troopers found two loaded guns and drugs inside a pickup, police said. Maryland State Police said they arrested William Stephen Lanham Jr., 40, of Salisbury on Saturday, Sept. 20, after pulling him over in Talbot County. Shortly after 8 p.m., a trooper from the Easton Barrack stopped a Chevrolet pickup truck on U.S. Route 50 near Lomax Street for suspected impaired driving. A drug-addled man who held a woman against her will before taking police on a wild chase in Maryland is behind bars, officials say. Raymond Travis Entsminger, 52, of St. Leonard, put members of the Calvert County Sheriff's Office through their paces as they sought to investigate a reported domestic disturbance late last month. A routine shoplifting call in Frederick took a dangerous turn when officers found a loaded gun hidden in the suspect’s jacket, authorities announced. Officers from the Frederick Police Department responded to a business in the 1500 block of Opossumtown Pike around noon on Saturday, Feb. 8, for a reported theft in progress. When officers arrived, they found the suspect in a nearby parking lot, where a witness identified the juvenile as the shoplifter, police said.
