A registered sex offender in Maryland will spend decades in prison after admitting to producing and distributing child pornography, federal prosecutors announced. Westminster resident Justin Michael Peterson, 27, pleaded guilty this week after being busted with child porn while out on probation for a previous conviction in 2016 in Carroll County. In February 2020, an investigation was launched into an individual using messaging apps and an email account to distribute child pornography over the Internet, leading police to identify Peterson as a suspect, prosecutors said.
