Two people spent hours stranded in a flooded creek in Maryland during an Extreme Cold Alert before finally calling 911 for help early Monday morning. A vehicle drove into approximately two feet of standing flood water near Hunting Quarter Road and River Road in Poolesville around 3 a.m. on Monday, February 16, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service officials.
