: Riders Evacuated From Comet At Hersheypark After Off-Ride Disturbance
Guests riding Hersheypark’s oldest roller coaster, the Comet, were unexpectedly evacuated mid-ride on Sunday due to a "guest disturbance on the platform", officials confirmed on Tuesday, Sept. 9. Video footage shared online shows riders calmly exiting the coaster cars and walking down a set of stairs beside the iconic wooden track after the coaster came to a halt. A Maryland woman stole two Toy Poodle puppies from a Lancaster County home and fled in a stolen U-Haul, police announced. Jamila Campbell, 34, of Columbia, Maryland, is facing felony theft and receiving stolen property charges after allegedly swiping the puppies from a Christiana Borough residence on Tuesday, Feb. 13, according to Christiana Borough Police. A major retailer primarily located in malls and headquartered in Pennsylvania is set to close all 543 of its stores following its third Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. Closures for all rue21 locations are expected to be completed within the next two months with going-out-of-business sales coming soon.
