Virginia Motorcyclist Identified After Fatal Harley Crash: Sheriff
A biker has been identified as the motorcyclist killed in a weekend crash in Virginia, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies were called to the 5800 block of Stubbs Bridge Road around 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, for a single-vehicle collision, according to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said a 2018 Harley-Davidson driven by Robert Waltz, 65, of Spotsylvania, left the roadway, slammed into several trees, and came to a stop.
Waltz was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been notified, the sheriff’s office confirmed.

The 51-year-old Hinds, the former lead guitarist and co-vocalist of the Grammy-winning band, was killed on Wednesday, Aug. 20, when his Harley Davidson motorcycle was struck by a BMW SUV that failed to yield while turning, according to police, Atlanta News First reported.

Harley-Davidson Riders Hospitalized After Van Crash In Maryland, State Police Say
Two people riding a motorcycle were hospitalized after a van struck them at a Cecil County intersection Monday afternoon, according to Maryland State Police.
Troopers from the North East Barrack were called to the intersection of Blue Ball Road and Dogwood Road in Elkton around 2:40 p.m. on May 12, for a reported crash involving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a Chrysler van, police said.
According to a preliminary investigation, the van, driven by Ethel Smith, 73, was traveling west on Dogwood Road when it struck the motorcycle, which was heading north on Blue Ball Road, police said.

Harley-Davidson 'HOG' Group To Tour Maryland During Rally
Hundreds of HOGS are heading to Maryland.
Harley-Davidson has chosen Solomons in Calvert County as the location for one of their mid-Atlantic Regional HOG (Harley Owners Group) rallies, bringing upwards of 1,500 motorcyclists to the region.
The rally begins on Thursday, June 23, and will run through Saturday, June 25, officials from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office said.
