Two people in Carroll County were able to escape a massive fire with an assist from a doorbell camera, officials say. First responders were called shortly after 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23, to the 5400 block of Mineral Hill Road in Eldersburg, when a fire broke out on the porch of an area home. Several people had to be rescued from an early morning Easter Sunday house fire in Gaithersburg that left one hospitalized in critical condition, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service officials.
