Maryland Man Killed While Being Kicked Out Of Lyft Was Former Cuomo Staffer
A Maryland man who was struck and killed by a car after being ordered out of a Lyft in Delaware over the weekend has been identified as one of former Gov. Andrew Cuomo's previous staffers. An argument broke out in the back of the car that Sid Wolf, 43, was riding in, and the Lyft driver stopped the car in the middle of the southbound lane on Coast Highway in Delaware, and demanded all six passengers get out around 1:45 a.m. Sunday, July 24, authorities said. A new study focused on the performance of public school systems after the COVID-19 pandemic ranked Maryland's education system as one of the best in the nation, according to WalletHub. Alert Issued In Maryland For Career Criminal With 10 Open Warrants Out For His Arrest
A man well-known to police in Maryland is wanted on multiple open warrants, according to the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office. An alert was issued by the sheriff’s office for the second time regarding Stephen Knowles-Petrolis, who has dozens of past arrests in Cecil County on charges ranging from assault and burglary to drugs and arson. “If you name it, he’s probably done it,” a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office posted two years ago in the initial alert declaring him a wanted fugitive. Baltimore Man Killed Infant Son In Camper, Authorities Say
A Baltimore man who killed his infant son last May in Federalsburg has been arrested, officials say. Sean Casey Pierce, 49, was charged with multiple murder and abuse-related charges after his 2-month-old son Chance Pierce was died of blunt force trauma in a camper on the 200 block of Buena Vista Avenue the afternoon of Monday, May 30, Maryland State Police say. The infant was taken to the Nemours Children's Hospital in Delaware where he was pronounced dead.
