Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis has released harrowing bodycam footage of the moments leading up to the fatal officer-involved shooting after Chhatra Thapa killed two family members in front of an infant. The 54-year-old Fairfax man was shot and killed by officers after fatally stabbing his wife and daughter and then attacking his son-in-law inside a Mantua apartment early on Monday, Feb. 23, according to police. A Virginia neighborhood woke up to a chilling scene Thursday morning when police say a 76-year-old woman was found dead inside the home she shared with her longtime boyfriend, who is now charged with her murder. Officers were called around 8 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, to a residence in the 400 block of Linden Avenue in Edgewater for a report of an unresponsive woman, Anne Arundel County Police said. A Baltimore police officer was shot and a suspect killed after gunfire erupted on a busy city street, investigators confirmed. A quiet Maryland neighborhood turned into a crime scene Tuesday after a midday shooting inside a Prince George’s County apartment left one man dead and another clinging to life. The shooting happened around 12:35 p.m. on June 3, in the 5600 block of Regency Park Court, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department. Human Remains Found In Maryland Alley; Homicide Investigation Underway: Police
A homicide investigation is underway after human remains were discovered in an alley in Maryland, police said. Anne Arundel County Police say officers found the body of an unidentified woman with “apparent trauma” in the Brooklyn Park neighborhood on Friday, May 23. At around 9:05 a.m., officers were called to the area of Disney Road and Alley 79 for a report of a body on the ground. Once on scene, they discovered human remains and confirmed the victim was dead.
