One person was reportedly killed at approximately 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 30 in the area of Veazey Neck when a boat went up in flames 100 yards off the shore in Earleville. The driver fled the area and was last seen entering Deep Creek, Cape St. Claire, after the collision around 10 p.m. that took the life of Laura Slattery, 63, according to the Maryland Natural Resources police.
