NJ Woman Killed In Times Square Stabbing, Suspect Fatally Shot By Police
A 32-year-old New Jersey woman was killed after she was stabbed in Times Square Monday, Aug. 31, authorities said.
At 4:24 p.m., police responded to Times Square after Pamela Cisneros, a 49-year-old Queens woman, had stabbed Erin Piacenti, a Chester resident, and a 68-year-old man, the New York City Police Department said. The victims were transported to a nearby hospital where Piacenti was pronounced dead, the NYPD said. The other victim was in stable condition, police said.

Instead, Maryland resident Allyson Abrams allegedly siphoned more than $125,000 from two nonprofits she founded, moving money meant for addiction treatment and other community services to herself, her spouse, and businesses tied to her real estate work, according to a lawsuit announced Monday, Aug. 31, by DC Attorney General Brian Schwalb.

A PNC vice president was killed when his SUV veered off the Pennsylvania Turnpike, went down an embankment, and struck a tree early Tuesday, Sept. 1, state police said and public records show.
Christopher M. Ruane, 55, of Canonsburg, was driving a 2020 Acura MDX west on Interstate 76 in Fannett Township, Franklin County, around 5:20 a.m. when the crash happened near mile marker 195.9, according to an updated Pennsylvania State Police release.
