Chevy Chase is more than just a comedic genius. It's also the home to Maryland's most wealthy neighborhood, according to a new ranking. Stacker.com released a new report regarding the most wealthy towns in the US, and the DC suburb earned top marks for its "peaceful, park-like community filled with amenities and conveniences." Suspect Throwing Kittens From SUV Wanted For Animal Cruelty Charges In Maryland, Sheriff Says
An animal cruelty complaint is being investigated in St. Mary's County after a person in an SUV was spotted tossing several kittens from a vehicle, according to the sheriff's office. Early on Saturday morning, a caller contacted investigators to report the incident, after spotting the suspect in the northbound lanes of Route 242 near the intersection of Route 242 in Morganza. A third suspect has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man in Montgomery County last year. Gaithersburg native Alonzo Jerome Lyles, 22, is the latest to be charged for his alleged role in the shooting death of Orlando Alexander Satz, Jr. in November 2023. A 40-year-old Mercedes driver outside of his vehicle and on the shoulder on I-495 in Prince George's County was killed when a group of teenagers lost control and rear-ended him, state police say.
