Son Breaking Into Elderly Father's Home Resulted In Fatal Shooting: Maryland State Police New details have been released by Maryland State Police investigators as they continue to probe a fatal shooting and fire that was reported in Cecil County earlier this week. Conowingo resident Joe Berry, Jr. has been identified as the person pronounced dead at the scene on Tuesday, Sept. 24 in a shooting incident and fire that also left his mother and father injured.  Investigators say that troopers were called at around 2 p.m. to check on a reported shooting at a home in the 200 block of Mount Zoar Road, where they found Berry outside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
