Weekend Fire Forces Courts To Close Amid Ongoing Power Outages In Baltimore
Sunday's fire in downtown Baltimore has forced continued chaos for some in the city as crews work around the clock to repair power to all those impacted. At around 5 a.m. on Sept. 29, crews were called to the 300 block of North Charles Street, where there was a reported fire inside a manhole with flames showing near the intersection of Pleasant Street. Police have identified the motorcyclist who was killed in a head-on crash with a stolen Infiniti whose driver and passenger fled on foot in Carroll County, according to the sheriff's office. Taneytown resident Terry Lee Crowl, 55, was killed early on Tuesday morning when he was unexpectedly struck by an Infiniti QX60 and ejected from his Harley Davidson. A minor was killed in an officer-involved Baltimore shooting that is now being investigated by the Maryland Attorney General's Office, officials say. Police in Baltimore executed a massive bust that led to the recovery of upwards of 30 pounds of pot products, officials say. Three men were taken into custody on Saturday afternoon when members of the Baltimore Police Department's executed a search and seizure warrant in the 700 block of East Preston Street.
