Fans Overcharged Billions In Massive Ticketmaster Resale Scheme, FTC Says Live Nation and Ticketmaster are facing a federal lawsuit after the ticketing giants were accused of secretly working with brokers to resell tickets at inflated prices, costing fans billions of dollars. The Federal Trade Commission announced the lawsuit against Ticketmaster and its parent company, Live Nation Entertainment, in a news release on Thursday, Sept. 18.
