Kenton Donaldson, 38, is facing first-degree murder charges in connection with the brutal killing of 33-year-old LeNaiya Donaldson inside her Oxon Hill apartment, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department.
The violent domestic dispute unfolded around 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, when a friend of the victim called 911 to report a disturbance inside the home on Kennebec Street, officials said.
Minutes later, police received a second 911 call—this time from Kenton Donaldson himself.
He told dispatchers he had just stabbed his wife during an argument and was fleeing the scene, heading toward a relative’s home in Virginia, investigators said.
Officers rushed to the apartment, where they found LeNaiya Donaldson suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
With assistance from the Fairfax County Police Department, Kenton Donaldson was located in Virginia and taken into custody.
He remains jailed in Fairfax County as he awaits extradition back to Maryland, officials said.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Prince George’s County Homicide Unit at 301-516-2512.
