Firefighter Injured, Families Displaced By Electrical Fire At Essex Apartment Building Nearly a dozen people were displaced on Friday morning when an electric fire caused chaos for some residents in Baltimore County. First responders were called to a two-alarm fire in the 1400 block of Hadwick Drive at around midnight that involved three separate units inside the apartment building. Byron Alton Bowie, Jr., who was convicted of murder in 1992, was sentenced to 30 years in prison following an arson incident in Frederick last year when he threatened to "burn everything down and kill everyone inside," authorities announced.
