Woman Dies At Hospital After Being Shot By Crossbow In Maryland Home: Sheriff

A woman died at the hospital after being shot by a crossbow inside a Cecil County home.

Deputies from the Cecil County Sheriff's Office were called at around 4:40 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon to a Bell Manor Road home, where there was a report of a person who had been struck with an arrow, fired by an occupant of the residence, according to officials.

Cecil County Emergency Service paramedics rushed the woman to Lancaster General Hospital in Pennsylvania, where she later died from her injuries.

The person who fired the crossbow was found inside the home and taken to the Cecil County Sheriff's Office. 

Possible charges are pending.

No information about the crossbow-wielding suspect or victim has been released by investigators.
