New Batch Of Mosquitoes Test Positive For West Nile In Maryland Neighborhoods The dog days of summer have brought mosquitos carrying the West Nile Virus to another neighborhood in Maryland. In Prince George's County, the Maryland Department of Agriculture said that mosquitoes have tested positive for the virus in Laurel, following similar reports in different parts of the state. The latest batch of mosquitoes were trapped at the Highpoint Trail and Overlook Way, as well as Oxford Drive and Northlake Court.  In response, there will be an unscheduled spraying on Sunday in Laurel surrounding the trap sites where the mosquitoes were located.
