Police in Baltimore are seeking the public's assistance as they attempt to identify human remains found decomposing more than a year ago. Late in the afternoon of Sept. 5, 2023, officers were called to the back of the 800 block of North Fremont Avenue to probe reports of a dead body that was found in the area. Upon arrival, members of the Baltimore Police Department found the unidentified remains of a person who "appeared to have been (there) for some time." Police are investigating the deaths of a woman and baby found in a home in Baltimore Tuesday morning, Feb. 13. The 32-year-old woman was found dead in a home on the 1800 block of McCulloh Street with her one-year-old baby around 10:05 a.m., Baltimore Police Det. Vernon Davis told Daily Voice Wednesday. A body was found in a vacant Baltimore home on Tuesday morning, Jan. 9, police said. Patrol officers from the Eastern District responded to a vacant home on the 3600 block of Belair Road around 9:50 a.m. Upon arrival, police found an unidentified person inside, “obviously deceased,” they said. Shortly before 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday morning, police say that officers from the Baltimore Police Department were called to a wooded area in the 2500 block of North Dukeland Street, where passersby found an unresponsive man suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.
