The Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration is encouraging voters to "roll to the polls" with free rides on Election Day. There will be service disruptions for Maryland subway riders this weekend, officials are cautioning. All MTA Metro Subway stations will be closed to allow the organization to test a new Communications Based Train Control system that should be fortuitous for travelers following the closure. The Friday morning commute was hectic for some MARC travelers, as service was temporarily suspended and multiple routes were canceled due to a system-wide outage.
