Community Mourns Man Killed While 'Trying To Right A Wrong' For Family Member In MD
Support is swelling for the family of Darrell Benner, who was shot and killed in Baltimore while defending his family. The 57-year-old man was shot and killed after three men carjacked a 29-year-old relative of his during an armed robbery in the 1000 block of South Curley Street early on Friday, Aug. 18. Shortly before 12:30 a.m. on Aug. 18, officers from the Baltimore Police Department were called to investigate aa shooting in the area, where they found Benner suffering from a gunshot wound.
