A Frederick man is facing a laundry list of charges after police say they caught him with drugs, loaded guns, and high-capacity magazines—some of it allegedly within a school zone.
Ezra Malik Smith, 24, was taken into custody on Tuesday, February 25, after a raid at a home in the 800 block of Motter Avenue, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office officials announced.
Deputies from the Narcotics Investigations Section, working alongside Frederick City Police, executed a search warrant as part of an ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking and illegal firearm possession, they said.

Two Killed By Suspended, Speeding Driver In Maryland: Sheriff
A Montgomery County man with a suspended license was speeding when he veered into oncoming traffic, causing a deadly head-on crash, investigators say.
James Henry Walker, 43, of Dickerson, was behind the wheel of a 2015 Toyota Camry on a suspended license when he crossed the center line on Buckeystown Pike and slammed into a 2014 Hyundai Sonata, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office said.
The crash happened around 6:40 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, near Adamstown Road.
Walker was pronounced dead at the scene.

What started as a speeding stop on I-70 earlier this week resulted in three behind bars for multiple drug possession charges in Frederick when a police K9 led to the seizure of crack/cocaine.
