Thousands In Maryland Without Power While Storms Roll Through Region
Tropical Storm Debby wreaked havoc for some residents in Maryland as wild winds and heavy rains left thousands without power on Friday afternoon.
A total of 704 active outages were reported by Baltimore Gas and Electric as of 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9, which were impacting 14,526 of the company's 1,332,781 customers.

Record-High Temperatures Reached At DMV Airports, National Weather Service Reports
With temperatures pushing toward 100 degrees on Sunday afternoon, several airports in the DMV region have reported new highs, according to the National Weather Service.
A Heat Advisory was issued on June 23 with heat index values up to 107 degrees expected in the region, according to forecasters, with "hot temperatures and high humidity (that) may cause heat illness to occur."

Tornado Touches Down In Maryland (Developing)
A dangerous tornado touched down in Montgomery County on Wednesday night, officials confirmed.
At approximately 7:15 p.m. on June 5, the National Weather Service advised that a tornado was located in Poolsville moving east at approximately 20 mph in the area.
