First responders were called early on Monday to a stretch of the interstate that left at least five people with undisclosed injuries. Each was taken to an area hospital. The man who took officers on a high-speed chase before firing at sheriff's deputies while fleeing on foot will spend the rest of his life behind bars after being convicted of attempted murder and other offenses, authorities announced.
