Nicholas Albanes, 42, was sentenced on Tuesday, Feb. 18, to 20 years, with all but 17 years suspended, in the Division of Corrections after pleading guilty to armed robbery last month. Waldorf resident Sabrina Cocheye Embrey, 51, was sentenced to six months in jail after being convicted by a jury in May on child abuse and assault charges following an incident that escalated with the boy.  Prosecutors say that in October 2023, an officer from the Charles County Sheriff's Office was called to a Waldorf home to investigate a reported domestic disturbance.
