Here's Why Traffic Was Backed Up On I-270 In Maryland A multi-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer that leaked fuel onto I-270 tied up traffic on Tuesday afternoon in Montgomery County. In advance of the evening commute in Gaithersburg, several northbound lanes were blocked on Oct. 22 when a truck was involved n a multi-vehicle crash that resulted in fuel being spilled onto the roadway. According to a Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson, the crash left the truck with a ruptured fuel saddle tank. One Killed, Several Injured In Multi-Vehicle Maryland Crash, Police Say (Developing) One person was killed and a second had to be extricated out of their vehicle following a crash in Prince George's County, according to police. Shortly before 2:40 p.m. on Friday, June 21, officers were called to the area of Old Gunpowder Road and Sinope Way in Beltsville, where there was a reported crash that left one person dead and a second trapped.
