'Flash Mob' Theft Ring Hits Maryland: Four Charged in $800K Crime Spree: AG
Four men have been indicted in connection with an organized retail crime ring responsible for 37 thefts across six Maryland counties, causing approximately $800,000 in losses, authorities announced Monday.
The suspects are accused of overwhelming stores with “flash mob” tactics, targeting high-end retail items, and reselling stolen goods.
Attorney General Anthony Brown revealed details about the operation, which spanned Howard, Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Montgomery, Queen Anne’s, and Prince George’s counties.

A Montgomery County man wanted for murder in West Virginia could be hiding out in the DMV region, authorities are cautioning.
Montgomery Village resident Arnold Johnson III, 19, is wanted in connection to the death of 21-year-old Morgantown native Rashad Malik Alton in West Virginia earlier this month.
According to the Monongalia County Sheriff's Office, shortly before 1:45 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, deputies were called to a shooting reported on Mountain Valley Drive, where they found Alton suffering from a gunshot wound.
