Two out-of-state men are accused of driving hundreds of miles from their hometowns to Maryland, where they held up a CVS location during a violent robbery, police say.
Shakir Dequan Jude, 31, of Cary, North Carolina, and Justin Thomas Whitaker, 32, of Brooklyn, are both facing charges in connection with a May armed robbery in Potomac, the Montgomery County Department of Police announced on Wednesday, Sept. 3.

A wanted fugitive accused of killing his partner in Maryland was tracked down hundreds of miles away in Texas, authorities announced.
Luis Antonio Quintanilla, 39, is sitting in a Texas jail after being arrested in Irving on Monday, Sept. 1 after local authorities were alerted that he was wanted for murder in Montgomery County, according to police.
Detectives say Quintanilla fatally shot his partner, 35-year-old Maritza Ferman Sorto, outside their shared home in the 9000 block of Centerway Road in Gaithersburg.

Fugitive Wanted For Killing Father In Maryland Caught In Maine After Months On The Run: Police
A Maryland man wanted for allegedly murdering his father earlier this year was captured in Maine after spending months on the run using a fake name, state police said.
Jabril Roynell Walters, 31, of Salisbury, was arrested Tuesday, July 8, by the Maine Violent Offender Task Force in Auburn, according to Maryland State Police.
He’s accused of fatally shooting his father, Roy Walters, 57, inside his Salisbury apartment in late February.
Investigators believe Walters fled to Maine shortly after the murder and had been using an alias to avoid being apprehended.
