A national TikTok trend that mimics drive-by shootings using plastic toys has made its way to the Free State (scroll for video). The challenge, which is most popular among teenagers, involves filing splat guns with water gel beads known as Orbeez for ammunition. New Jersey law enforcers are co-leading a multi-state investigation into whether TikTok puts youngsters at physical and emotional risk, Acting Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin announced. Lauren Smith-Fields, 23, of Bridgeport, was found dead in her apartment on Sunday, Dec. 12 by Bridgeport police after a date with 37-year-old Matthew LaFountain, whom she met on a dating site. A Pennsylvania family is raising awareness to a TikTok challenge that left their 10-year-old daughter dead.
