A 47-year-old woman was killed and a man suffered traumatic injuries during an apartment stabbing that was reported in Anne Arundel County late on Friday afternoon. At approximately 5 p.m. on Aug. 9, officers were called to a building in the unit block of South River S in Edgewater, where there was a reported stabbing with two people suffering from injuries. The woman, Nancianne Houston, of Edgewater, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. It took a jury approximately two hours to convict a man of the murder of a woman whose body was found in Charles County last spring, now he will spend the rest of his life in prison and isn't going to get out. A 39-year-old man reportedly responsible for a fatal stabbing in Prince George's County has been identified and apprehended, police say. College Park resident Francisco Ayala Alvarenga is facing multiple murder charges in connection to a stabbing that was reported in Beltsville earlier this week.
