On Friday afternoon, the Takoma Park Police issued a new advisory as they continue their attempts to locate a man who has terrorized several women while sporting a Disney-themed bucket hat on multiple occasions. An alert was issued by the Charles County Sheriff's Office over the weekend as they attempt to track down a creepy man implicated in a pair of suspicious incidents last week. Police are searching for a balding, middle-aged man who they say exposed himself to a group of females on a University of Maryland shuttle bus Friday, Sept. 2, campus police said. A female student told police she and her two friends got on Shuttle-UM 104 at the Wind Tunnel building around 5:30 p.m., when a male attempted to engage with one of her friends in the group, UMD police said. Maryland Man Admits To Posing As Women To Entice Boys, Threatening Families
A Baltimore man who pretended to be a young girl to lure boys into sending explicit content to him has pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of a minor, officials say. Matthew K. Walsh, 24, admitted that he created the fake profiles that he used to contact the boys from 2016 until 2021, according to the Department of Justice. The boys Walsh targeted ranged from 12 to 17 years old, they said. At least 40 victims have been identified as being abused by Walsh, and at least 30 of those had their content distributed to others. Authorities are seeking the police impersonator who stopped a Maryland driver and told her that if she performed a sexual act that "everything would be forgotten."
