Shooter In Southeast DC Sentenced For Killing Maryland Man Outside Father's Home: Feds
A District man has been sentenced to decades in prison for gunning down Maryland native Toussaunt Strong outside his father's home in the Shipley Terrace neighborhood more than three years ago, authorities announced.
Ravel Mills, 29, was found guilty by a jury last October of second-degree murder while armed and other offenses for killing the Montgomery County native in Southeast DC in 2020.
This week, a judge announced that Mills has been sentenced to 29 years in prison, the max possible term.

A Prince George's County woman who killed her teen brother with help from her boyfriend and twin sister is heading to prison for 25 years, authorities announced.
Leaundra Matthews, 25, of Accokeek, was found guilty of second-degree murder for the death of her brother, Christian Matthews, who was strangled during an attack by Matthews' boyfriend, Tyson Lipford, and another man, Daniel Howard, while he was asleep in their family's Silver Spring home in March 2017, Daily Voice reported.
