What started as a day of celebration ended violently when a brawl broke out during a graduation ceremony in Silver Spring. Several fights were reported outside of John F. Kennedy High School in Silver Spring this week on the steps of Constitution Hall, according to Principal Vickie Adamson, who called the incident "an embarrassment to our community." The elementary school principal in Montgomery County accused of assaulting a student has turned himself in and is facing charges, according to the police. A Montgomery County mother is facing time in prison and will have to give up her adopted children after admitting to abusing them, the state's attorney's office announced on Friday. Police are investigating a deadly Thursday afternoon shooting on Baltimore’s southwest side.
