Woman Killed In Maryland Hit-Run Crash, Police Seek Driver A 40-year-old woman is dead following a hit-and-run Friday night in Accokeek, sparking an ongoing investigation by the Prince George’s County Police Department. Officers responded to the area of Indian Head Highway and Farmington Road around 9:50 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22 after receiving reports of a pedestrian collision, police said. When officers arrived, they found Loretta Canter-Andrews, of Accokeek, in the roadway suffering from severe traumatic injuries.  She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities. Police ID Pedestrian Fatally Struck Crossing Busy Maryland Road Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred in Mount Airy earlier this week, authorities say. Alex Fernandez, of Mount Airy, was killed after being struck around 6 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 13, in the 1000 block of Ridge Road, according to Howard County police. Fernandez was pronounced dead at the scene following the collision. The driver and sole occupant of the Chevy remained at the scene and was not injured in the collision. Ridge Road was closed for around five hours after the collision. The investigation is ongoing.

Man Dies After Being Struck By Vehicle In Montgomery County A 39-year-old man has died following a fatal pedestrian collision in Gaithersburg, authorities say. The victim was struck in the area of Midcounty Highway and Miller Fall Road around 8:42 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, according to Montgomery County police. Investigators say that the victim, who was located in the roadway, was hit by a red Saturn Aura. The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene following the collision.
