Kayaker Airlifted After Plunging Over Great Falls Of Potomac River, Officials Say
A kayaker was airlifted to a hospital after being rescued from the Potomac River in Great Falls Park on Thursday, May 16, officials in Montgomery County said. The county's fire and rescue squad was dispatched to the river in reports of a kayak that went over the Maryland Falls at 6:20 p.m., a spokesperson for the department said. A Maryland man who posed as a police officer is facing multiple charges for allegedly assaulting multiple men in bias-motivated attacks due to their sexual orientation, federal officials announced. Helicopter Lands On I-395 To Assist Officer, Driver Captures It All
Everything is a landing site during an emergency. A medivac pilot proved that on Wednesday, July 6, after they landed a helicopter on Interstate 395 to rescue a police officer. Park police requested the helicopter to rescue a motorcycle officer who'd crashed on Maine Avenue, WJLA said.
