Pedestrian Killed By Hit-Run Driver In Maryland Identified By Police
A driver is at large after a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian over the weekend in Prince George's County, police say. Oxon Hill resident Melvin Garcia, 35, has been identified by investigators as the person who was killed by a driver who fled the scene on Friday afternoon. According to the Prince George's County Police Department, at around noon on Aug. 16, Garcia was struck in the 6200 block of Oxon Hill Road in Oxon Hill in an area parking lot by a driver in a truck. Police ID 71-Year-Old Woman Killed In Three-Vehicle Maryland Crash
A 71-year-old woman was killed over the weekend after a three-vehicle crash was reported at a busy intersection in Prince George's County. Suitland resident Herminia Gamit has been identified by police as the woman who was killed in a crash on Friday afternoon in Oxon Hill, officials confirmed. At approximately 1:20 p.m. on Friday, April 19, officers from the Prince George's County Police Department were called to the area of Oxon Hill Road and Clipper Way, where there was a reported crash. A road-raging man has been arrested in connection to the murder of a beloved family man in Prince George's County. A 29-year-old man was struck and killed by a driver crossing a busy roadway in Oxon Hill overnight, according to the Prince George's County Police Department. Suitland resident Kennard Hunter has been identified as the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a driver in the 6000 block of Oxon Hill Road. Weeks into a job working at a Prince George’s County daycare center, a 23-year-old woman has been arrested and fired after videos surfaced of her abusing children in her care, police announced. Oxon Hill resident Kayla Greenwell was arrested on Saturday, April 8, following an investigation by the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Child and Vulnerable Adult Abuse Unit for allegedly assaulting children at the center. Vehicle Crashes Into Prince George's Hotel
An Oxon Hill hotel has structural damage after a vehicle crashed into it late this morning, authorities say. The vehicle crashed into the building in the 6100 block of Oxon Hill Road around 11:54 a.m., Thursday, July 14, according to the Prince George's County Fire Department. No injuries were reported in the collision and the extent of the damage to the hotel is unknown.

Maryland Man Walking On Roadside Dies Days After Being Struck By Car: Police
A 39-year-old man walking on the side of the road died two days after being struck by a car in Prince George's County, authorities said. Brandon Harris, of Oxon Hill, was walking in the far right lane when he was struck by a southbound vehicle on Indian Head Highway and Oxon Hill Road around 6:50 p.m. on Feb. 10, county police said. The driver remained on the scene and was not injured. Harris suffered critical injuries and died on Feb. 12, authorities said.
