Police have identified the two people killed in a drive-by shooting in Southwest DC a block away from Nationals Park. Patricia Harris, 35, and Tyrone Jacobs, 24, both of Southwest DC, were shot and killed around noon on Thursday afternoon near the intersection of O Street SW and Hall Street SW that also left two others hospitalized. Man Killed In Targeted Shooting Outside Nationals Park
A man was killed in what police say was a targeted shooting outside of Nationals Park over the weekend. The man was found inside of a car and was pronounced dead on the scene around 1 p.m. on on N Street, SE Sunday, Oct. 23, First District Commander Tasha Bryant said. Preliminary footage shows a dark-colored SUV fleeing from the scene just after the shooting, she said. Detectives "hit the ground running" and were gathering more information, the commander said.

Army Parachuters At Nationals Park Caused US Capitol Evacuation
A plane carrying members of the US Army Golden Knights evacuated the US Capitol Wednesday, April 20, authorities said. The parachuters posed a "probable" aircraft threat, prompting the 6:45 p.m. evacuation. In a statement, Capitol Police said an unidentified plane was spotted "within seconds" of the Capitol building. Lady Gaga has announced her 2022 stadium tour after a two-year delay due to coronavirus. While most of the shows are in Las Vegas, the 12-time Grammy winner made sure to schedule a stop at Washington DC's Nationals Park on Monday, Aug. 8, 2022 as part of the "Chromatica Ball" tour.
