New Rabies Alert Issued In Maryland Neighborhood After Raccoon Tests Positive For Virus A fresh alert has been issued in Anne Arundel County after another raccoon tested positive for rabies. The Anne Arundel County Department of Health issued an alert this week warning that anyone who came into contact with a raccoon in the area of Admiral Drive near the intersection of Moreland Parkway may have been exposed to the virus. Officials said on Wednesday, Feb. 7 that the infected animal has tested positive for rabies - clarifying a previous release that had the wrong address attached.
