Community leaders in Montgomery County are speaking out after the latest hate-based act that was reported, this time a racial message that was found at Gaithersburg High School. Principal Cary Dimmick issued a statement to the community after hate-based graffiti was found in the boy’s locker room at the high school when a student reportedly etched the “N” word into paint on a locker. Some of the top elected officials in Maryland are speaking out after new anti-Semitic graffiti was found spray-painted in a popular area park. For the second time in nearly as many months, anti-Semitic graffiti was found spray-painted along the Bethesda Trolley Trail in the Wildwood neighborhood. At least ten people including a small child with burns were hospitalized in a fire that tore through an apartment complex in Silver Spring on Thursday, March 3. The second-alarm fire broke out at a four-story home at the Friendly Garden Apartments on Lyttonsville Road. The fire was first reported around 10:30 a.m., according to Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich.
