Drunk Driver Killed Child, Injured Two Others In Maryland Crash: State's Attorney
A Maryland woman who was drunk behind the wheel when she crashed her minivan, killing a child and injuring two others, has been convicted of felony manslaughter, authorities announced.
Ashley Nicole Nolan, 28, of Lexington Park, was found guilty on six charges, including grossly negligent manslaughter by motor vehicle, life-threatening injury while driving under the influence, and driving under the influence while transporting minors, according to St. Mary’s County State’s Attorney Jaymi Sterling.
She now faces up to 22 years in prison.

Two people have been arrested in an assault-robbery in St. Mary's County over the weekend, authorities said.
Shannyn Elizabeth Dulemba, 40, and Jamaze Jovan Wood, 25, knocked the victim to the ground, physically assaulted him, and then robbed him of his wallet around 4:50 p.m. behind the Weiss grocery store at the St. Mary's Square shopping center in Lexington Park Saturday, Jan. 27, the county sheriff's office said.
Following the initial interview with deputies, the victim was transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for medical treatment.

An inmate behind bars who was facing a host of charges in St. Mary’s County has died after suffering multiple medical emergencies, authorities announced.
John Sherman Greenwell, 44, who was being housed at the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown, had to be rushed to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital last week, where he stayed for several days before being discharged on Friday.
