A Virginia man driving a Tesla who caused a fatal crash that claimed the life of a 77-year-old woman in Montgomery County in March has been charged, authorities announced on Thursday. Vincent Anderson, Jr., 36, of Lynchburg, has been charged with criminally negligent manslaughter and failure to control speed to avoid a collision in connection to the death of Silver Spring resident Maria Antonieta Perdomo nearly seven months ago. Major Mall-Based Chain To Close 543 Stores After Filing For Bankruptcy
A major retailer primarily located in malls and headquartered in Pennsylvania is set to close all 543 of its stores following its third Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. Closures for all rue21 locations are expected to be completed within the next two months with going-out-of-business sales coming soon. Virginia Man Suffers Medical Emergency Driving In Maryland, Dies At Hospital, Police Say
Police say that a 60-year-old Virginia man died after suffering from a medical emergency and crashing in Maryland. The Montgomery County Department of Police identified Lynchburg resident Byron Jennings as the person who died at an area hospital following a crash in Potomac.
