A 27-year-old man who marred the college graduation celebration at a friend's home in Germantown and was found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman at a second trial will spend time behind bars, authorities announced on Monday. Clarksburg resident Nelson Jones was found guilty by a jury of third-degree sex offense earlier this year and was sentenced to 10 years in prison suspending all but 12 months to serve. The 36-year-old man who "seriously injured" two Montgomery County police officers while resisting arrest will spend decades in prison after being convicted of assault and other offenses. The third time was a charm for prosecutors in Montgomery County after a Silver Spring man was convicted earlier this year of the vicious assault of his landlord over rent, and now he's heading to prison for decades. The Washington Hebrew Congregation is claiming that parents who are suing the synagogue's preschool for alleged sexual abuse waived their right to do so, according to WTOP.
